Hello and welcome. My name is Martine Elliott.

As someone in their fifth decade, I bring a wealth of experience from a distinguished career as a crew leader in British Airways Cabin Crew, spanning 23 years. Having retired, I now call Oxfordshire home.

Currently, I am immersed in my academic journey at OCA University for the Creative Arts, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Painting.

RECENT MODULES COMPLETED  Practice of Painting 1   Ideas Lab â€‹

I have put some of my personal and course work onto a webpage;

My website (unpublished)

My artistic pursuits are deeply rooted in my profound interests in travel, diverse cultures, patterns, and the intrinsic beauty of the natural world, with a particular emphasis on flowers due to a former career as a florist before venturing into aviation.

Having been privileged to witness global wonders, I draw upon a rich tapestry of memories and photographs to infuse my work with emotion, expression, design and colour.

My artistic exploration encompasses various perspectives of the world, such as the aerial vistas seen through aircraft windows or the captivating interplay of looking upwards towards the sky and looking out and through. These themes have played a pivotal role in my completion of the initial modules. I am unwavering in my passion, finding inspiration and stimulation in the translation of memory, place, and colour.

As I progress to the second level of my studies, I am delving into the realms of poetry, philosophy, and art history, making sense of them within the sphere of art and creation. This phase promises to deepen my understanding and further enrich my artistic journey.
